What you need for training class
Classes at 68 Coombs Street, Bldg N, Napa, California · Mailing: 68 Coombs Street #7, Napa CA 94559
Before your first class
- You must be pre-registered to take a class. Browse open classes and register online, or call the office at (707) 253-8666 for help.
- Current vaccination records must be on file before your dog enters the training facility. Puppy, adolescent, and good manners classes require proof of vaccination; puppy classes need at least 2 DHPP shots 3 weeks apart.
- Review club rules and classroom guidelines before your first night.
- Payment and all required registration information must be received by the deadline shown on the session schedule. Late paperwork may result in your spot being offered to the waitlist.
Bring each week for your dog
- 6' leather or nylon lead (leash). If you use a flexi-lead (retractable leash) at home, switch to a sturdy lead before entering the training facility.
- Flat buckle or quick-release collar. If you feel your dog would do well with a special training collar or harness, speak with the instructor.
- Light-weight bed, blanket, or towel for use in class (easy to carry and wash).
- Lots of small, soft treats your dog enjoys — pack 3 or 4 different kinds to help your dog be successful.
- A bait bag or similar small cloth pouch for training treats (easy to reach into quickly).
- Water and a water bowl for your dog.
- Plastic bags for dog waste.
Bring each week for you
- Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe, closed-heel shoes during training sessions. Tennis shoes are recommended; sandals and clogs are not appropriate.
- Our training facility is in a warehouse — dress for the weather.
- Bring a bottle of water if you need it.
- Plastic gloves, if you wish.
